Recon Day Pack: The North Face Recon backpack is a ridiculously good looking daypack perfect for ANYONE and subsequently one of The North Face’s top-sellers. The Recon is excellent for hiking and biking or for less amusing activities like commuting to work and going to class. With backpacks, comfort is key. To that end, the Recon features contoured shoulder straps, a thick foam backpanel with mesh ventilation, a hipbelt and sternum strap. Badlands 75: The North Face Badlands 75 Backpack is constructed with a carbon fiber frame that provides lightweight suspension that can comfortably carry a full load for week-long outings. You (your back, and neck) will appreciate the Badlands 75’s design with a fully adjustable torso, breathable backpanel with independent suspension, and a “cranial cavity” so your head ain’t smackin’ the top of the pack every step you take. Shoulder straps & hipbelt are of course also fully adjustable. A removable picnic basket lid provides easy access to pack contents and can double as a waist pack for a day hike around camp. A toolshed front pocket makes it easy to separate stuff like a wet shirt from the rest of your gear, while double ice axe loops, a water bottle pocket, and side mesh pocket offer more external storage options.
